Christmas - 2008

Still very sick today - check out from Rasa and fetch toby home. Head straight to United Sq to meet mil, sil and dayan as mil wanted to get CNY clothes for dayan.

In the evening, we went to liang court for dinner at suanthai. I would say its value for money but beware of the spicyness.

Christmas eve -2008

Was terribly sick on the eve and hence did not bring dayan along to rasa sentosa for the nite. Will defintely book again next year to fulfill this mission.

Sunday - 冬至

Went to Vivocity and had lunch. Below dayan is fighting for coke allocation at superdog.
Head home before going to my mum's place for dinner - Tang yuan were not available as all depleted.

Return from Taiwan

Hubby finally return from Taiwan - bought a coach wristlet for me and some twn goodies. As the flight is an evening flight - we didnt manage to have time to go for the friven & co sale @ Tanglin and instead brought dayan to Koufu for dinner.

Have brought dayan for a studio shot a year ago but did not manage to get a suitable frame until 1yr later.

The day before Hubby goes on biz trip

Have not cooked for a long time and decide to cook for dinner. It didnt turn out well - soup was too tasteless as i added too much water.
Nevertheless - i was rewarded with a meal at Jack's place because of my effort to cook. However, food at Jack's place is really not as good as before.

A well spent Saturday - 13 Dec 08

Brought dayan for his JWT lesson in the late morning after a long night rest and to compass point for our lunch.

Saw the ad on TV as well as on Weekend Today's on Audio House new opening at Liang Court - decide to do there to see if there is any good bargain. Got ourselves the home theatre that we were eyeing for 1 year. We spent the rest of the evening at clarke quay and finally home by midnight. Food for the evening - Tenshin and super tan tan noodles at a Jap rest at Liang Court.

Monday - 08 Dec 2008 - Alson's Bday

We didnt really celebrated his big "40" as he says no need. Continue with our project - 摆家乐 at Kakibukit and manage to get a daybed and single seater to complete the living area. Very satisfied.

Went to Compass point to change the size of shoes that we got for dayan for CNY2009.

Sunday 07 Dec 08 - House warming and Quest for coloured jeans Part II

Went to my cousin Sherry's house for house warming - executive mansionate at Segar. I love the walk in wardrode which i regretted not building when i was doing up my own house. But then again - hubby is right - i can never arrange my clothes in such orderly manner that meets his standard so a walk-in will only create more naggings from him for myself. Finally - i am seeing some improvements from Dayan - he is no good with unfamilar places but surprisingly - he was okay at Sherry's hse - keep saying "mei mei".

The quest goes on - this time to Suntec city. Still no luck - we ended having dinner at MOF - ordered a seafood yori set for myself to share with dayan and alson had the same unagi don again.

Saturday 06 Dec - Quest for coloured jeans

I am searching for a pastel colour jeans and Levis is having a $50 rebate for old jeans trade in. Went to marina for my quest but din manage to succeed.

Settle dinner/supper at Waraku de pasta and quite surprise that the operating hours is until 2300hrs. Dayan had corn soup, Alson had Unagi don and i ordered a bacon & vege soup pasta.

Food very fulfilling and the staffs are also very friendly - despite tantrum throwing dayan creating noise pollution - they tried to help in appeasing the tyrant. Dayan got a christmas cap for FREE! They also wanted to give him a ball which we rejected - in case that boy throws the ball at someone at the restuarant. Will post the cap again.

Sunday 30 Nov to IMM

Recently, hubby and i are into 摆家乐. we feel that we need to revamp our house cos its too unpersonalise now.

Brought dayan along to IMM and i dont think i will ever go there again unless totally necessary - the carpark is a nightmare - got to wait close to half an hour before u can luckily have someone get out of the lot.

We shop around but din manage to get anything out from IMM and settle for lunch at Fish & Co.

Ordered soup for Dayan while i had my usual corriander fish. Alson had New york fish and we ordered calamari as side.

Gift from Japan - Part II

This is the baju for Dayan that MIL specially got for him. Very interesting - it has 忍 all over - boy this is for u ;)

Mil and Sil return from Japan with many gifts.

Chocolates complimentary from MIL, charm from SIL, and also a burbery blue label wallet which is paid for by Alson as my christmas gift.

Dayan's gifts include a soft toy sword and a set of Japanese pyjamas. pic not available as they are with MIL and SIL.

Wedding Anniversary celebration

Went to traders hotel where we got married for the celebration. Had never celebrated this day 23 Nov since we got married 5 yrs back and guess this may be the last time i am organsing such event as we ended the evening sadly with crude comments from hubby.

1st Trip to Sentosa

We started out late in the afternoon and did not go to most places.

The 1st stop is at underwater world and we head for the pink dolphin show at the dolphin lagoon.

After that we went to Palawan beach for dinner at koufu while enjoying the sunset.

3rd day as SAHM

Went with alson and dayan to Plaza Singapura to shop and have dinner. That place has been revamp with more shops but a pity we went too late cos after dinner - most shops are closed.

It was quite crowded at the dining places so we settled for Hot tomato at the basement.

Food is tasty and reasonably price- about $38 for all the food and drinks that we ordered and most impt - service is fast too. Comparing with the HK style cafe that we went yest and same price- hot tomato is a better deal.

Do note - there is no baby chairs available so the best they can offer is the booth seats.

2nd day as SAHM

Started the day with going to my parent's place taking bus 70 and 80. It was really a long journey - about 104mins.

Head home during lunch time and set off to downtown east in the evening. Wanted to go kids xplorer but it is very expensive considering that dayan is suitable to play at the toddler's area - we still need to pay $22 at 7pm and so we gave it a miss. Instead had dinner at the hong kong type cafe so that dayan can look at the Ferris wheel.

1st day as a SAHM

Started the day with showering dayan and head off to my mum place while waiting for Alson to come and fetch us to JWT open gym.

Before the gym start, we went to the opposite stall where they sell katong laksa. Tried the stall no. 49 this time. i still prefer 328 cos less coconut. Dayan also tried a bit of the laksa and he likes it but as its quite spicy, i did not let him have much. The rojak at that stall is really good - prawn paste is tasty and not smelly.

In the evening - we went to festival market to stock up necessities and dinner at kopitiam.

At the airport

We sent MIL to airport. This is the 1st time we went to T3 but because it is very late so we did not have a chance to explore that place. Will go back again for dinner someday.

Countdown to the 2 weeks SAHM

As old as Dayan today, i have not really taken care of him alone for 2 full weeks. Even during the 3 mths confinement, i still had my MIL with me. Today is one day prior to my MIL trip, Alson and i decided to make full use of the evening.

Went to Takashimaya to shop for Christmas decors and gift for dayan. There is so much choice but we finally decide on Bob the builder magnetic blocks for xmas and another Elmo giggle medical kit for playtime during the 2 weeks.

So happy to chance upon the santa decor at B1 to complete my xmas tree. Total cost of this tree = S$118.90

Head back to Heeren where we parked our car for dinner at Waraku. Very tasty and nicely presented with the oversize plates and bowls. I ordered the bacon cream udon, Alson got a seafood curry udon and we also ordered a side - vege & pork with egg.

Finally at 10pm - with barely few shops remaining open, i managed to get a dress and 2 tops out of them.

Hmm... with all mission accomplished - now is time to work on the timetable to spend the 2 weeks with dayan for bonding.

Sunday Breakfast at Peach Garden

Went with my family - dad,mum,younger sis and bro to breakfast at Peach Garden. We had dim sum a-la carte - food still taste good but because we were there quite early, some of the choices were still not available and we had to wait a while.
Overall - we had a tasty and good b/fast - will give it 8/10.

The making of our 1st Christmas tree

Never had a christmas tree at home and since dayan could help out and besides he also enjoys looking at the Leds - we decided to have one this year. The tree is still under construction and to be completed soon after we get some more ornaments. Current cost to date : S$100.
