CNY2009 2nd day

As was told, this year there are four characters that clashes with "Tai Sui", we had 2 in our family. Set off early to "Shuang Lin Si" to pray pray. This is my first time going by myself (usually parent and mil go on behalf) and i was really surprise that the queue is soooo long.

Waited for Dayan to wake up from nap and we head off for my family reunion dinner @ Jalan Besar. Going to my parent's place is the last stop where we manage to capture a group foto of our Aljunied FIR.

CNY2009 1st day - year of ox

1st day now - I can't wait to put on the clothes/shoes for dayan which i got him for New year after i showered him - so nicely fitted but guess the shoes should be outgrown soon.

We started the day at 1030am for house visiting - to my parent's house, uncle's house and return to our hse for lunch for dayan. But i guess he is too tired and fell asleep in the car. Woke at 3.30pm and we quickly feed him and set off to my grandparent's place. Thereafter - MIL place which is the last stop.

CNY 2009 Eve - To the year of Ox

We started our day packing the house and head for the reunion dinner at Jumbo Serangoon with Alson's family. We were the first to arrive at the restaurant and subsequently mil arrive and brought along a sunglass for dayan. Its so cool.....

After the dinner, we head for my 2nd sis house for round2. Dayan was almost exhausted after 2 hours of play with the massive collection of toys at my sis place.

Dayan's Lunar Bday 24th of the 12th month

We had not been able to make it for dayan's lunar bday but MIL did it for us instead. She bought a cake for him and celebrated with him for his big two.

Stay at home weekend - 1wk prior CNY09

For the first time in almost 2 years, dayan finally call mummy which is the last person to greet on his list. Realise that he is able to articulate himself better, we tried out the picture books that we taught before and to our surprise he actually points to the picture and say it clearly for a few he knows like apple, baby, hand.

we spent the whole weekend at home with dayan at home - playing TV games, puzzles, art n craft, reading books and looking after the injured toby.

Sunday - Buffet dinner at turf

Went to AhYat @ turf city for dinner with as we have been invited by my uncle for the occasion of my cousin's wedding.
Dayan managed to stay through the whole time with the help of biscuits brought from home ;p

Saturday - 10Jan09 - Mandy's Jayden 1st Bday

Today is the last lesson at JWT East Coast. We set off early to make sure we reach there on time. After that - we head home to feed dayan lunch before setting off to Mandy's house for Jayden's Bday celebration.

Dayan had a great time there and surprisingly allowed Mandy to carry him with a little temptation of cupcake.
We had a photo taken at her house for keepsake and the oscar cupcake.

Evening - went to por por house for dinner.

Celebrate Gong Gong's birthday - 27 Dec 08

Wanted to celebrate gong gong's Bday at house of steamboat but turn out that place is very crowded and the staff offerred us a place of six when we have 12 of us eventhough booking was made in advance.

We later ended up at jln besar for dinner. Ordered 7 dishes with huge servings for 9 adults + 3 kids - Filling and satisfying.

04Jan09Sunday - a frustrating day

Dayan is not his usual self today and i am very intolerant to his behaviours. for the first time gave him 3 hard smacks on his palm for misbehaving. He fell asleep after a long cry.

03Jan09Saturday - Visit grandparents house

This is the first time dayan visits his great grandparents. He was very polite there and everyone commented on how behave he is which only alson and myself think otherwise since we have seen the monstrous side of him at home and Mil place.

My cousin Joey and Javier also came over to my place that day as my uncle is helping us to fix the tripping lamp.

As dayan was busy protecting his "properties" from my cousin, ended up exhausted and nap till 8.30pm. We had no choice but to bring him to Ikea Tampinese to deplete his energy so that he can fall asleep by 12midnight.

Happy New Year - 01 Jan 2009

Shop shop shop.... This time to orchard wisma. Although did not get anything out of this trip but we had a fun time there together. Lunch at Food Republic Wisma and send dayan back home to zzz.... land.
