28 Nov 2009 - Snow show at the Jewel box

This is the 2nd time going to Jewel box. The 1st time there was a co D&D.

We set dayan to sleep early and he woke up early for dinner so we had ample of time to prepare and headoff for the show that starts at 8pm. CTE is always a challenge as jams are unavoidable on weekend.



We got there earlier than my sis and uncle huat so we had time to stroll around.

When they all arrived - we gain entrance with the "unlimited" pass that Aunt Jayme has.



There were lotsa of ppl there and when the "snow" starts falling - it look beautiful - only that its foamy but luckily not soapy.



My cousin, nephew and niece had a great time standing under the snow except dayan who does not want to go cos he commented "dirty" and who we stand one concern looking at the scene. Only after the "snow" ended - abt 15mins - then dayan wants to go elsewhere.



Before we arrived at MtFaber - dayan thinks there is snowman available and kept saying snowman - but there is none - so we bought a fake snowman for him.



Conclusion - This is an experience of "snow" blend in sweat

27 Nov 2009 - Sharlaine's 3rd Bday

Its Sharlaine's birthday today and all of us (my family + Grandparents + Uncle's family) went to Hougang for her bday celebration

After the meal - everyone came to SK for cake cutting session

I cannot recall this is x times that cake cutting sesion is conducted at our place but i am very sure that Dayan is getting better at this - that he no longer feels too sore about other children playing with his toys.



The only thing that is still concern about is Toby still remains untouchable for others.

14 Nov2009 -Christmas Tree Yr 2009

We decided to setup the xmas tree earlier this year with the help from Dayan

This is the 2nd time setting up the tree and it looks much better compared with year 2008

Bought a new lego set for dayan to play and to stimulate his creativity :)
Below are what the boy fix by himself - a bridge / plane in the middle and not sure what other 2 are.

Its the mandatory leave today - i stayed home with dayan the whole day while Alson is at work.

16 Oct 2009 - Genting Trip

This is the 1st time we brought dayan out of SG besides sentosa ;)

Wake at 330am to cook and back to sleep at 430am

Wake at 530am to prepare all necessary food and drinks to bring

Woke dayan up at 615am to allow sometime for him to throw some tantrums

Left home at 7.15 The traffic is terrible in the morning and we managed to reach custom at 9am

We were 50km away from the MY custom by 930am and dayan fell asleep in the car.

Stop by the last toll before going to Genting at KL to have macdonald for lunch.

Reach Genting at 145pm and we head straight to check in resort hotel so we can start feeding dayan lunch which i packed along

After lunch we went to the indoor amusement park and bought 3 wristbands. Initially dayan did not want to try the rides but after much convincing from Alson - he began to try one then 2 then 3 then he want to ride it again and again until he got hungry and we went back to room to feed him dinner.

Before entering the room - I smell a strong marmite fragrant cos i was cooking porridge with marmite sauce. i guess there should be no others doing this.

after dinner for dayan - we went back to the amusement park to optimise the cost of the bands and had dinner at Old town since it is just below the hotel. its almost 10pm after this and we went back to the room.

Final verdict -

It is good that we bring dayan when he is 32mth since he can enjoy and feel about the trip.

1) This is the 1st time he is willing to try the rides which he refuse to do it in SG

2) He experience the cool weather and could communicate to us on it

We are ready to go somewhere further than Genting after this trip. It is very enjoyable to travel together with dayan though tiring.

10 Oct 2009 - Noelle's Ayden full month

Went to by ex-colleague's baby full month at punggol field. Baby Ayden is wide awake when i arrived. As i am the first to arrive - i got the chance to carry him :p

When dayan saw this - he was very jeolous and cried for me :)

Mooncake festival 03Oct / Art day - 04 Oct 2009

Sat - Its the mooncake festival but we did not get any lantern for Dayan. Also the evening was rainy so we stayed indoor playing the train set.

Sun - We started off the morning to the park near our place for dayan to ride the bicycle.

Dayan fell from the bike and Alson injured himself while trying to save dayan.

- Alson - cut on the palm from the bike

- Dayan - minor scratch at the knee cap and elbow

After this session - we went to compass pt macdonald for breakfast before heading home.

Bought a Lighting Mcqueen for the Mack set

At home - dayan is not his usual self and is more cranky than normal days. He refused to take his lunch so we reckon that he could be too tired and need a nap. Put him on bed and he dozed off within mins.

Around tea time - boy awake. We took out the canvas painting set for him to paint.

Alson did 70% and dayan did 30% on his own.

Weekend events

19 Sep - Went to my mum's place for lunch and pop by carol's place in the evening before heading to Bishan for dinner. When we were nearing GV - dayan suddenly said he wants to go in. We were very surprised and ask him why - he replied "driving, driving". We laughed as he had obviously mistook the cinema for a game room - both are dark.



20 Sep - Alson went out to temple in the morning and dayan also woke up late. I let dayan had his lunch before driving out to sentosa - underwater world. It was so crowded as compared to the previous time when we went on a weekday. MIL came to SIL place and we drove her back late in the night.

12 Sep 2009 - Sis Bday and Bro Bday celebration

My family pop over at our house for the cake caking session - pre celebration for 2nd sis and bro bday - one for 30yrs and other for 22yrs

Dayan had a fun time capturing them on the digi cam and not forgeting the cake....

09 Sep 2009 - Alson in KL

Alson is away today and that leaves me with "boy boy" at home.


We started the day off by heading towards Takashimaya to get more clothes for Alson. this is also the 1st time i drive with dayan sitting beside me. Mission succeeded!!

He sat next to me without kicking up fusses like he sometimes do and had the buckle on till we reached Taka. We had Ajisen Ramen for lunch which he loves it very much - cos it salty!!


After lunch we went for more shopping and bag home 2 bags of clothes for Alson. By the time shopping is done - dayan is close to zzz time.

I quickly hurried home and put him to sleep.


Evening time - my parents and brother came over and drove us to Hougang for lunch.
I think dayan could be recovering from the flu cos the appetite is astonishing.


This is what he eat for the whole day

830am - 220ml milk + 30ml water

1030am - 1 bowl of porridge (adult size)

1230pm - 2/5 of Ajisen ramen + 2pc white fish + 80ml water

2pm - 220ml milk + 30ml water

530pm - 220ml milk + 30ml water

730pm - Rice with sauce at the Zi char store + 125ml water

9pm - 1 pc of pandan cake + 50ml cup water

930pm - cereal (a bit)

945pm - porridge + 50ml water

1020pm - 220ml of milk + 50ml water

08 Sep 2009 - MIL return

As dayan is not yet fully recovered - we decided not to go far. Went to downtown east for lunch and Alson took Dayan on the ferris wheel but he is too timid and cried throughout the ride. Not sure when he will outgrown this.


Late evening - we went to the budget terminal to fetch Mil and had dinner at Hanis.

This is the first time that I really took a walk around this terminal and its just like my impression - nothing much!!


Dayan finally had a close up view of the airplane this time while we were driving towards the B.Terminal.

07 Sep 2009 - Flu attack

Dayan is down with flu and after doctor's diagnosis - its more attributed due to the weather. Had no choice but to cancel the trip to the zoo although it is a very beautiful weather outside.


Brought him to the usual doctor at camden and stayed home the rest of the day as he is very easily irritated and cries on /off.

06 Sep 2009 - Singapore Science centre

The mission for the day is to go to the science centre. We left our house at 1245pm after dayan finish his lunch. Reached destination at 120pm. Flu bug seems to be fond of dayan and they are paying him a visit - he started to get grouchy half way through.


We ended up leaving the place at 330pm and had macdonald for lunch and dayan nap on the way back.

As he is not feeling too good - we settled for dinner at Hougang Ichiban.

05 Sep 2009 - Car collection

Alson is finally getting the car back after a week at the workshop. The paint is simply exceptionally striking.

With half a day gone - we headed for Takashimaya for dinner and also do the exchange for the clothes which dayan and myself have bought for Alson.

04 Sep 2009 - 2nd day as SAHM

This is the second day MIL is away.

Brought dayan to Orchard road by MRT and shop from morning till 4pm. Finally the zzz bug caught up with dayan and we took the taxi back home.

03rd Sep 2009- First day of SAHM

MIL is off to holiday now and i have taken over the duties of looking after dayan.
This is the 1st day and since my mum "pai pai" at home - went over to her house for lunch by MRT.

As we have no car for the day and not wanting to go far - we had dinner at compass point.

Hair cut again - 29Aug2009

Mah mah brought dayan for a haircut again and it is very short this time.

I agree with mah mah because you refuse to have your hair dry everytime we washed your hair.

Brought dayan to Compass point in the morning and he wanted the memory cards very badly and so we bought it. In the afternoon - went to Bishan and 3 of us did this Doraemon Thank you sand card at Emiko Arts together.

22 Aug 2009 - Dinner at T3

We were asking Dayan if he will be interested to see an airplane and he replied yes so we drove down to T3 to view the planes but viewing gallery was too brightly litted and reflected the indoors and hence we could not see the planes. Took the sky train to T2 but the viewing gallery
were under revamp so in the end - we went Waraku @T2 to have dinner.

Ordered a set meal for Alson and myself and a stick cake for Dayan.

Its been almost 3 mths that i am facing rejection from dayan since after a row and he saw the father's behaviour - he has been treating me with much rudeness since then.

I have also been reprimanded for not putting in enough effort to patch my relationship with Dayan but its not going to be easy with limited time that i have with him. Even at the caregiver's place - Dayan will also treat me in the same manner.

I feel like a surrogate mother.

Hopefully this is just a phase and it will pass soon.

15 Aug 2009 - Orchard Central

Alson mentioned the new shopping centre in Orchard so we decided to take a look.

As its a Sat and we are not sure which ERP gantry is on - we decided to park at Centrepoint just in case we go round and round searching for the carpark and end up paying more.

Shops are fully in operation yet and quite a handful of them are still emptied hence we got a change to take the pic in one of the shop space.

National Day - Long weekend 7 Aug 2009 to 10 Aug 2009

07/Aug - I finally decided to make a change and chop off my long hair for more than 10 years and got back my old school days hairstyle.

08/Aug - Alson revamped our study room slightly to accomodate Dayan's play area as the boy is growing quick and toys are also getting more. Also - i have tried to cook the japanese curry rice for Alson as lunch and it seems kind of salty but the look is almost right.

09/Aug - Did not want to go too far away since its national day and some of the road were block off. Went to mum's place for dinner at MacDonald and dayan brought along his fav toy to introduce them to my parents.

10/Aug - Stay home day

25Jul2009 - Suntec Exhibition

Went to the jewellery exhibition with MIL at Suntec. The stuff are really much cheaper than the normal rate in the shops.

This is the 1st time that Dayan stay awake since 7am until 10pm at night. When we finally sent him back to MIL place - he drop to zzz land immediately.

This week's fav activity of the week - a gift from 2nd sis to Dayan on his 2nd birthday.

18/19 Jul 2009 - The No No Phase

Dayan is sick again and not recover from the flu thus very cranky.

This week's behaviour has totally changed as compared to previous.

In the past - mummy will do everything (make milk, bath, change him except play)

This week - daddy will do everything (everything and include play) - this really tires daddy out



The no no phase is also surfacing now - whatever that you ask him to do - he will not want to do. Example :

- asking him to eat porridge, he will say no. But after a while - he will come back and say "beil beil"(porridge).

- If you ask him to go change clothes - he will say no and roll on bed

- Picking a pyjama to wear when we want to go out

- ask him to stop playing and he will object



I wonder how long this is going to go on........

13 Jun 2009 - No plans day

We did not have plans for the weekends - Just relaxing at home and went to Vivocity for dinner. As we had not brought out till late nite - its the 1st time he enjoyed the nite view of vivo.

14 Jun 2009 - IT Show

This the last day of the PC show - we decide to check out if there is any good deals for broadband. There was already a long queue when we reach Suntec at 10am and the openning hour is 1130am. Since the boy is kind of cranky - we decide to walk around before coming back. at the same time - Crocs is also having sale at the time so we bought 3 pairs for ourselves and nothing for Dayan.

After lunch at 12 when we got back to the show - it was jam pack with ppl lining up for the starhub deal bundling with lenovo. We decide to give it a miss since the queue is horrifying.

28 Jun 2009 - Sickly Dayan

Dayan terribly sick as he had caught a baD flu bug and i only got wind of it the day i am returning back to SG. Feel terribly bad about this that he was sick for more than a week already.

MIL also booked us on the RC event for today to have lunch at the Furama hotel so all of us went. Food spread is good considering it price and i will definitely go back for it again.

Spent the rest of the day at MIL place.

Monday first thing - we rush the boy to Mt Elizabeth to see the PD who cured him in 2 days time.

04-07Jul 2009 - A long break at last

Have not been taking any rest for the past months since the start of the project.

This is really a long awaited holiday but the bad part is Dayan is still sick so we din really do much on the long weekend.

I was given an early Bday celebration by my family on 05th Jul at Bedok but this time we went to another Teochew restaurant.

The rest of the days are spent at home only on the 07Jul - we had lunch at Crystal jade after doc visit at Mt E .

Multiple task weekend - 06/07 Jun 2009

Work is still piling and had to work till 5am everyday. Its been close to a month that every weekend's sleep is only 2hr per day. Kind of tired of it now.

Anyway - this Sat - daytime work. In the evening - we went for dinner with my family at Blk 115 Bedok North. Dishes serve were very delicious and i will suggest to go back again should there be any celebration. Even the decor were nicely done up despite the location at neighbourhood flats. After dinner - rush back home to clear up the routine stuff - clean dayan and put him to sleep before working again.

Sunday was a better day - i switch off my com for the whole day after i did a final check in the morning. This is the 1st day after few weeks that i off it the whole day - amaZing.

Morning - brought dayan to compass pt to buy milk bottles as Alson miss to keep the bottles in the bag after sat's dinner.

Lunch Time - went to ParkRoyal at Kitchener for Nathania 1st month celebration. Got a goody bag home which is very nicely pack.

Dinner Time - We went to Bugis Junction to get a sit up equipment as i was complained for huge tummy but did not manage to get it as the stocks are not in yet. Since we have not brought dayan out for almost a month - we decide to let the boy enjoy his evening and he had fun at a Doraemon machine. (he pronounce as Do-re-mi mon)

Settle at The Soup Spoon for dinner - ordered a tangy tomato and clam chowder which dayan enjoy very much. He also finish up a breadroll. The shop was playing WANTANAMERA then and dayan was happily singing away while having the breadroll - funny boy who only loves oldies.
